I have several cameras that are compatible. Do I need to update the Camera Controller firmware each time I use a different camera?

Since the Camera Controller can only hold one firmware at a time, you will need to update it each time you want to use a different compatible camera.

A couple of tips:

  • Make sure you are also using the correct connection cable (multi, AVR, 2.5 mm) for each camera.
  • If you will be switching cameras out in the field and don't have access to a computer, it's best to purchase a 2.0 only USB stick for each camera and place the firmware on each USB stick (and label them), so you can do a quick firmware swap on the Camera Controller, without needing a computer.
